On Tuesday 13 October, GPS Wealth held its annual awards night in Christchurch, recognising advice firms and advisers from right across its network.

It was a proud night for our team here in Cornubia. We were nominated in three categories: Firm of the Year, Adviser of the Year, and the Client Outcome Award. And our Principal Adviser, Shane Hatch, won the 2026 GPS Wealth Client Outcome Award.

Why this one matters to us

The Client Outcome Award recognises an adviser who has delivered a standout result for a client through quality advice and a genuine commitment to their success.

It isn’t measured by growth targets or business numbers. It’s measured by what changes for the people we work with.

For most of our clients, a good outcome isn’t a number on a statement. It’s knowing they can step back from work when they’re ready. It’s helping the kids without second-guessing their own plans. It’s finally booking the trip they’ve been talking about for years.

Putting clients first has always been what drives us. This award is simply a lovely reminder that it shows.
